Greg Anderson
KB Racing, Summit Racing Equipment Chevrolet Camaro
Car No.: PS7
Current points position: No. 8

Event-specific Notes:
• Pro Stock returns to the NHRA tour in Richmond after three races off. In 2019, Pro Stock was adjusted to an 18-race schedule. The last Pro Stock event was the DENSO Four-Wide Nationals in Las Vegas, April 5-7.
• Greg Anderson has won at each of the current NHRA national event racetracks except Virginia Motorsports Park. He was runner-up there in 2009.
• The driver of the red Summit Racing Chevrolet Camaro holds the Virginia Motorsports Park track record for speed, set in 2009 at 215.36 mph.

Driver Notes:
• 2019 is Anderson’s 21st season as a Pro Stock driver. He began his career as a crew member and then was crew chief for championship winning driver Warren Johnson before taking the reins of his own Pro Stock car in Columbus in 1998.
• Las Vegas-based Ken Black brought Anderson on board as a tuner, then a driver for KB Racing. They won their first race together in 2001. They have been racing together for nearly two decades and have, along with crew chief Rob Downing, built a team that now owns 152 national event wins and eight championships.
• Anderson is a four-time NHRA Pro Stock world champion (2003-05, 2010)
• Anderson is the most decorated Pro Stock driver on the current tour. He has 91 national event wins and is the second-most winning driver of all time in the category (W. Johnson has 97).

Quotes:
“My Summit Racing Chevrolet Camaro has been a very fast racecar. We’ve been gaining on it all year, in terms of both the engine and the car, and we expect that to continue in Richmond. Even when we’ve started off behind the eight ball, we’ve been able to make up ground and get back up to speed, so I think it’s going to be very important that we just don’t get behind the eight ball at all this weekend. The last time we raced, I had the best day I’ve had in a long time. I’m looking forward to getting right back to business.”

Jason Line
KB Racing, Summit Racing Equipment Chevrolet Camaro
Car No.: PS5
Current points position: No. 4

Event-specific Notes:
• Line, starting from the pole, won the NHRA Virginia Nationals in 2006 with a final-round defeat of Tom Martino
• During the break from Pro Stock racing, Line seized the opportunity to race Super Stock for the first time in his 1970 Buick Gran Sport, the same car in which he won the 1993 Stock Eliminator championship. He went to the second round two weeks ago in Charlotte.

Driver Notes:
• Jason Line debuted a new Jerry Haas-built Summit Racing Chevrolet Camaro at the 2019 Mello Yello Series season-opener in Pomona and wheeled it to the final round
• The driver of the silver Summit Racing Chevrolet Camaro will have accumulated 600 Pro Stock round wins if he should see a first-round victory in Richmond. That would be the third most of any active driver in the category. He has competed in 910 rounds of Pro Stock racing entering the event.
• The Mooresville, N.C.-based driver has 48 wins in Pro Stock and two in Stock Eliminator, one of NHRA’s premier Sportsman categories.
• In addition to driving for KB Racing, Line is the dyno operator at KB Racing and is part of the tuning team for the cars in the KB Racing stable
• Line has three NHRA Pro Stock world titles with KB Racing (2006, 2011, 2016), as well as one NHRA Sportsman championship earned in Stock Eliminator behind the wheel of his 1970 Buick Gran Sport (1993)
• His Pro Stock debut was in 2003 in Columbus

Quotes:
“It’s been interesting being away from the track with our Pro Stock cars these past few weeks. It gave us the opportunity to work on things in the engine shop and dyno room, and we’re excited about that. It was nice to have the opportunity to be a Sportsman racer again and get back to my roots, and who knows, maybe that will help a little bit when I get back in the silver Summit Racing Chevy this weekend. It’s been a long time since we’ve had the opportunity to see how what we’re working on stacks up against everyone else. We’re ready.”

Bo Butner
KB Racing, Jim Butner Auto Group Chevrolet Camaro
Car No.: PS8
Current points position: No. 1

Event-specific Notes:
• Butner won the ADRL SuperCar Showdown at Virginia Motorsports Park in 2012
• Although Pro Stock returns to the NHRA tour in Richmond after three races off, Butner has kept busy behind the wheel of his Summit Racing-branded Cobra Jet Mustang racing in the SAM Tech Factory Stock Showdown. Butner reached the final round of the shootout in Charlotte two weeks ago.
• Butner will race in both Pro Stock and the SAM Tech Factory Stock Showdown this weekend at VMP

Driver Notes:
• Butner, the 2017 NHRA Pro Stock world champion, won the first race of the 2019 season and then again in Gainesville and Las Vegas. He is the incoming points leader.
• Butner’s victory in Las Vegas was the 152nd Pro Stock win for KB Racing, the acclaimed group racing out of Ken Black’s shop in Mooresville, North Carolina
• Last October, Butner decided to hang up his Pro driving gloves and return to his Sportsman racing roots to focus on the Jim Butner Auto Group family business and his growing family (his first grandchild was born just after Gainesville). When the schedule was shortened to 18 races, though, he was encouraged by his mom, Dottie, to reconsider.
• An accomplished NHRA Sportsman racer, Butner earned the Comp Eliminator championship in 2006 and has four Division 3 season titles
• Butner has 10 Pro Stock wins on his scorecard

Quotes:
“The lucky streak we’ve had in Pro Stock this year is just crazy. I feel like we just have to show up, but the truth is that we still have to do our job. The guys can’t make any mistakes in the pits, but with the guys I have, I never worry about that. It sets my mind at ease, so all I have to do is go out there and be a bracket racer. We’ve had some fun with the Factory Stock Showdown car since the last time we raced Pro Stock, but I’m looking forward to getting back in that Jim Butner Auto Chevy Camaro. We want to continue this roll we’ve been on.”
