Additional cash and prizes up for grabs with Summit Racing mini-series at Southern Sportsman Showdown

The recently announced Johnson’s Horsepowered Garage Southern Sportsman Showdown, scheduled to take place March 19-21, has caught the attention of Stock and Super Stock racers across the nation. It’s also been part of the conversation for many vendors and manufacturers who serve this fine group of competitors, and an abundance of businesses have stepped forward to contribute to the program in support of some of their most valuable customers.

The most recent show of support has come from Summit Racing Equipment in the form of the unique Summit Sportsman Standout competition.

The Summit Sportsman Standout is an optional mini points series within the Southern Sportsman Showdown. Cash and prizes will be awarded based on points accumulated throughout the $20,000-to-win races, which will take place one at a time across the three-day event.

“We’re really excited that we’ve had such a great response to the Southern Sportsman Showdown. So many great folks have stepped forward wanting to help, and this new deal is just the icing on the cake for the racers,” said Bo Butner, who is organizing the event with fellow Sportsman and Pro Stock standouts Dave Connolly and Jason Line.

“The Summit Sportsman Standout adds an additional element of competition and fun for these great Stock and Super Stock racers, and we’re very grateful to Summit Racing for coming on board for this.”

For those interested in competing in the Summit Sportsman Standout portion of the Southern Sportsman Showdown, an entry fee of $100.00 will be collected prior to the first $20,000 race, which will take place on Friday of the event at South Georgia Motorsports Park.
