In 2019, and for the first time since 2009, the Pro Stock category did not produce a first-time winner. That being said, it certainly COULD have happened. There were 31 different drivers who raced in the category in 2019; 19 of them have yet to secure a win. The driver who came closest to sealing the deal was Fernando Cuadra, who reached his first and second Pro Stock final in 2019 driving his Cavender’s/Corral Boots Chevrolet Camaro powered by KB Racing.
There have been 67 winners in the history of Pro Stock. If you wanna see the whole list, click riiiiight here.
Who will be No. 68? Stay tuned!

Okay, wait. One more point of (possible) interest:
Of the drivers who raced in Pro Stock this past season but haven’t yet claimed their hardware, five have wins in other categories. Benza won Comp at Englishtown in 1986; Freeman won Comp at Dallas in 2005; Isbell has a Top Alcohol Dragster win from the spring Las Vegas race in 2008; Steve Matusek has multiple Pro Mod wins; and Aaron Stanfield has picked up victories in multiple sportsman classes (Super Stock, Top Dragster). There’s a Pro Stock win waiting to happen. Wait for it……..
